Findel colleagues volunteer to transform classrooms at Boothstown Methodist School in partnership with Place2Be
October 2024
A team of colleagues from Findel, recently volunteered their time to revamp classrooms at Boothstown Methodist School in Salford. This initiative is part of our ongoing partnership with Place2Be, a UK charity dedicated to supporting children’s mental health in schools.
Through this collaboration, Findel contributes not only through financial support but also by engaging our employees in meaningful volunteer activities to directly benefit local communities. During the recent half-term break, a group of colleagues worked together to refresh the classrooms at Boothstown Methodist School with a fresh coat of paint, creating a more calming and welcoming environment for students.
Headteacher Karen Armfield expressed her gratitude for the effort:
“We are so thankful to the team at Findel. Their time and efforts today, as well as the thoughtful planning beforehand, have made a real difference to our school. The new classroom environment, along with the generous donation of resources, will have a lasting positive impact on our students. It was lovely to speak with the team and share why their work means so much to us.”
The refreshed classrooms will be a welcome surprise for students returning from their half-term break, as the new, tranquil atmosphere supports both learning and well-being.
Findel’s partnership with Place2Be is a cornerstone of the company’s Findel Foundation, which focuses on giving back to local communities and supporting initiatives that positively impact children’s development and education.
Claire Gleave, Head of the Findel Foundation commented on the collaboration:
“At Findel, we believe in the importance of creating positive environments for children to thrive. This project with Place2Be and Boothstown Methodist School aligns perfectly with our values of care and community. We are proud to not only provide resources but also to actively support schools by volunteering our time and skills.”
We look forward to continuing our partnership with Place2Be and finding more opportunities to support schools across the UK in creating positive, nurturing environments for students.
